Guide
Use the following to help ensure your print is successful!
1. What can I print?
The best place to look for items to print is on https://www.thingiverse.com/ or https://www.printables.com/. These two sites have a wide selection of objects built by the 3D printing community.
2. I’d like to make my own things
If you’re making your own parts, two free CAD options are https://www.onshape.com/en/ and https://www.autodesk.com/ca-en/products/fusion-360/personal
There are plenty of design guides for 3D printing. Here is are two to get started:
https://3d4create.com/blogs/3d-print-troubleshooting/support-your-3d-prints-45%C2%B0-rule-and-yht-rule-for-optimal-supports

3. Design Recommendations
There are several design aspects that need to be considered when printing. For best results without support material the following should be used:
Bridge length: Less than 0.75″ (19mm)
Overhang angle: 45° or less
Part fits*:
– Tight fit (shaft is difficult to insert and rotate): 0 mm gap
– Slide fit (shaft has some resistance rotating in a hole): 0.05 mm gap on either side
– Running fit (shaft rotates easily in hole): 0.1 mm gap on either side
STL export:
– Units: mm
– Angular deviation: 1°
– Tolerance: 0.001
– Minimum facet width: 0.001
*fit sample is available upon request if you prefer to feel the different fits
FAQ
What is your address?
The specific address will be sent by email reply to your quote.
We are located near downtown St George, Ontario!
What colours do you print?
All available colours and materials are listed as options in the Cost Estimator
How long until I get my print?
I strive to start the prints as soon as possible. Prints can fail for a variety of reasons including geometry, so make sure to check the Guide to avoid common design pitfalls.
Do you have any recommended print projects?
